For more than a century, Dewhurst Furniture has been creating quality custom made furniture in Melbourne.
Established in 1911 by John Dewhurst, our business has grown through generations of skilled furniture makers while remaining true to the principles on which it was founded — thoughtful design, quality materials and furniture made with care.
Today, from our Moorabbin workshop, we combine traditional furniture-making skills with modern manufacturing technology to create bespoke furniture, custom joinery and upholstered pieces for homes, businesses, architects and interior designers throughout Melbourne and Victoria.

Our Melbourne workshop produces a wide range of custom made furniture and joinery, including dining tables, cabinets, entertainment units, shelving, desks, bedroom furniture, occasional furniture, commercial furniture and custom upholstered pieces.
We also work closely with architects, interior designers and other design professionals to manufacture one-off pieces, prototypes and complete custom furniture packages.

Our workshop brings together generations of furniture-making knowledge with contemporary machinery, manufacturing techniques and design capabilities. This allows us to undertake everything from carefully handcrafted individual pieces to complex custom furniture and commercial projects.
We are also continually improving the way we manufacture. Our timber is sourced with sustainability in mind, our workshop uses modern waste-reduction practices, and our solar installation generates the electricity used in our manufacturing operations.
